No Heating - Hot Water OK:
- Ensure jumpers on the PCB are correctly placed and the PCB is booted correctly.
- Check that the heating programmer is properly set and requesting heating.
- Verify that the room thermostat setting is sufficient and requesting heating.
- If both programmer and thermostat are requesting heating but heating is still not working, refer to fault finding chart 1.
No Hot Water - Heating OK:
- Confirm jumpers on the PCB are correctly placed and the PCB is booted correctly.
- If a 2-channel clock is installed, ensure hot water is selected as 'ON.'
- If hot water is still not available, refer to fault finding chart 2.
Insufficient or Intermittent Hot Water - Space Heating OK:
- Check jumpers on the PCB and ensure it's booted correctly.
- If a 2-channel clock is installed, ensure hot water is selected as 'ON.'
- If hot water remains insufficient or intermittent, refer to fault finding chart 3.
No Heating and Hot Water:
- Verify jumpers on the PCB and ensure correct booting.
- Check for gas supply to the appliance.
- Ensure electrical supply to the appliance and that the ON/OFF button on the facia panel is switched on.
- Check electrical supply polarity.
- If a 2-channel clock is installed, ensure heating cannot be selected without hot water also selected ('gravity' operation).
- If the appliance still does not work, refer to fault finding chart 4.
Appliance Control Board Check:
- Switch off mains power.
- Check and insert correct jumpers to match the appliance type.
- Insert jumper 5.
- Switch on mains power.
- The PCB will perform functional checks and then stop.
- Switch off mains power.
- Remove jumper 5.
- Switch on mains power to return to normal operating mode. During functional checks, green LED's 1-4 will cycle on and off at 5-second intervals.
By following these steps and referring to the appropriate fault finding charts in the manual, technicians can effectively diagnose and address issues with the Gledhill Gulfstream 2000 system.
